Statement of Faith

  1. We believe in one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 8:4-6; Acts 17:24-25).
  2. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is both fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born of the virgin Mary, was crucified to make atonement for our sins, was raised to life, ascended to heaven, now sits enthroned in majesty interceding for us, and will come again in power and glory (John 1:29-34; Acts 2:23-24; Romans 3:21-25).
  3. We believe in the Holy Spirit, whose work is to glorify Jesus the Son, to convict men of their sins, to regenerate sinners, to indwell and empower believers for holiness of life (John 15:26).
  4. We believe that the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments represent the inerrant word of God, written by human authors under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and therefore an authoritative and trustworthy revelation of God’s character and will (2 Timothy 3:16).
  5. We believe that mankind was created unique in the image of God. Through man’s first disobedience, the whole human race fell into sin and came under the just wrath of God (Genesis 1:27; Romans 5:12-13). Thus mankind is in need of salvation, something he cannot obtain on his own strength.
  6. We believe that our only hope for salvation rests in the grace of God, given in the atoning death and life-giving resurrection of Jesus Christ, and applied to us by the Holy Spirit in regeneration. Those who repent and believe receive eternal life with Him, but those who die in their sins will be eternally separated from God in hell (Romans 5:17; John 5:24).
  7. We believe that the church, comprised of all those who believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, is the body of Christ on earth. Called out from among all the nations, the church gathers together to worship God and goes out to serve God in the world (1 Corinthians 1:2).
  8. We believe in the visible return of the Lord Jesus, to finish His work of salvation and judgment, to raise the dead bodily, and to call all men to account. This is our blessed hope and our daily motivation for obedience and faithfulness (Revelation 22:12).
